Transaction Services

In the early 90’s, the Government of Egypt launched a comprehensive economic reform program. This program encompasses several economic measures including privatization of the country’s massive public sector. The government’s policy on privatization is evolving, it includes outright sales of companies to a strategic investor, public share offerings, and long term lease as well as management contracts.

In the private sector as well, consolidation of small and medium size businesses is increasing rapidly in addition to foreign investors’ appetite to invest in the Egyptian lucrative emerging market.

In line with these developments, KPMG Egypt TS practice started to evolve rapidly taking advantage of the existing wealth of knowledge in accounting, tax, legal, IT, HR in addition to the specialized professionals in a diversity of lines of businesses.

A multidisciplinary team was formed to provide such services. In a short period of time, KPMG became the market leader in providing Transaction Services in Egypt and is awarded most of the major transactions in the Egyptian market.

KPMG Egypt gained the “A” accreditation status as of January,2003.
